How do I pay the entry fee?
If you choose the Prize Track, you can pay via Venmo or PayPal. We use these platforms to ensure zero processing fees. This means 100% of your $100 entry fee goes directly into the prize pool.
What counts as a step?
We rely solely on the native pedometer data from Apple Health (iOS) or Google Fit/Android Health. If your device tracks it as a step, it counts towards your goal.
What happens if I miss a day?
No problem. This is a cumulative challenge. You need to reach a total of 300,000 steps between Jan 1 and Jan 31. You can walk 5k one day and 15k the next. Just hit the total.
Is there a prize for the most steps?
Yes! While the main pot is split evenly among everyone who hits 300k, there is a separate $1,000 bonus prize for the single individual who records the highest total step count in January.
What is the math behind the prize?
It's transparent: $10,000 (Sponsor Bonus) + ($100 x Number of Entrants) = Total Prize Pool.
Total Prize Pool / Number of Finishers = Your Share.
